IPSR Archives

Welcome to the Institute of Personality and Social Research (IPSR) Archives on the Web. This part of the IPSR Web Site describes and catalogs historic data sets related to the study of personality and performance. These data were collected by Institute of Personality Assessment Research (IPAR) researchers between 1950-1980.

We hope that these catalogs will make the Archives more accessible and useful to scholars and researchers around the world.

Click [HERE] for IPSR Policies On the Use of Archival Data. For permission to use any part of these archives or to ask questions about the materials, contact the IPSR office at (510) 642-5050 or email ipsr at berkeley.edu
There are 16 Data Sets from the IPSR Archives that have been cataloged and descibed in considerable detail but do not include the actual data. These represent the major data collections started by Institute researchers in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s that have been preserved in the Archives. The descriptions of the data sets are divided into 13 pages:

  • Procedures Administered
